Rotisserie Style Roasted Chicken
There’s nothing quite like juicy, tender roast chicken! Simple seasoning and cooking lets the meat shine. Serve with sauces and sides of your choice.
Ingredients
- 1whole chicken
- 1tablespoons of salt
- 0.25 cupmelted butter
- 1tablespoon paprika
- 0.25tablespoon ground black pepper
- 1tablespoon of cumin
- 0.5lemon quartered
- 6cloves garlic peeled and smashed
Steps
1) Preheat your oven to 300 degrees
2) Mix together the salt, butter, paprika, black pepper, cayenne pepper and cumin in a bowl.
3) Rinse the chicken and remove the giblets. Pat dry with paper towels.
4) Pop the lemons and garlic into the cavity of the chicken.
5) Baste the chicken with the spices.
6) Pop the chicken into the oven and roast for 150 – 175 minutes at 150 degree Celsius, basting once every hour.
7) It will be a beautiful brown colour when done. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
