Panasonic Scholarship continues its 18 year journey consecutively

Ho Chi Minh, April 14 2022 – Today, Panasonic Vietnam organized the Panasonic Scholarship 2021 award ceremony in Ho Chi Minh city. This year, the program grants 15 scholarships to excellent students studying full time at universities across the country. After 18 years of implementation, the total value of the scholarships awarded in Vietnam has reached more than 53 billion VND.

Despite of pandemic situation, the program has been successful organized in year 2021 with a new record high of up to 500 applicants from nearly 65 universities nationwide.

The scholarship program 2021 offers each student with financial support of VND 30 million for one school year. The program is aimed at supporting needy students who are constantly striving to improve themselves with outstanding study performance and an aspiration to contribute to the development of Vietnam in the future. Within this program, winning students are also provided with practical opportunities to experience professional working environment and new technology through internship at Panasonic Vietnam Group companies. Besides, Panasonic also offers various online training sessions with the purpose to help students to develop their soft skills in communication, problem solving, time management etc…

Sharing when receiving the support from Panasonic, Nguyen Le Nhu Quynh, final year student, Ho chi Minh city Foreign Trade University said: "Panasonic Scholarship Program has financially supported me to keep focus on studying and achieving good results at school, while giving me the opportunity to develop our thinking and soft skills; and at the same time connect with students across the country and, especially in the context of social distancing. In addition, all the students were inspired by Panasonic's philosophy of desire to contribute to society. We hope to spend our best efforts to contribute to the development of Vietnam in the future."

Within this program, students also participated in various training sessions to develop their soft skills

Pursuing the business philosophy of “Contributing to society” set forth by the Founder more than 100 years ago, Panasonic has a constant commitment to contribute to the sustainable development and prosperity of Vietnam through its business and corporate social responsibility activities, focusing on education and environment fields, with some highlighted programs such as:
