Panasonic launches the STEM Creative Contest and digitalized STEM experience solutions, under the "Panasonic for Sustainable school" program
Hanoi, April 17,2024 - Panasonic Vietnam cooperated with Youth Vanguard and Children Newspaper to organize kick-off ceremony of the STEM Creative Contest and launching the AR/VR Digital library for STEM experience. Being apart under the framework of the corporate social responsibility program as "Panasonic for sustainable school", these activities aim at bringing interesting experiences for Vietnamese students who are passion about science and technology.
The STEM Creative contest is organized from 12 April to 2 June with the collaboration between Panasonic Vietnam and Youth Vanguard and Children Newspaper, as an interesting playground for primary and secondary school students across the country, to express their creativity and passion for science and technology, as well as support schools and teachers and in STEM experience activities. According to Mr. Oka Hiroyuki, Director of Panasonic Vietnam, by participating in this activity, students are not only encouraged to practice STEM knowledge in a project, but also apply it in environmental protection topic such as energy saving, daily wastes recycling etc... "STEM will provide future citizens with approaches and tools to solve global problems towards sustainable development. This is the message that Panasonic wants to convey through the contest."
This is also the opportunity for "little scientists" learn and practice soft skills such as project execution, teamwork..., meanwhile building their network with other young people who share the same passion. More detail about the STEM creative contest will be announced on the fan page of Panasonic Risupia Vietnam, and on the network of Youth Vanguard and Children Newspaper.

“Panasonic for sustainable schools” program was initiated with the desire to support students and schools in accessing practical STEM experience opportunities, following the direction of Ministry of Education and Training. Therefore, in parallel with organizing on-site STEM classes at schools, Panasonic also officially introduces the AR/VR Digital Library for STEM experiences, offering opportunity for all Vietnamese students, teachers, schools, and parents to access and experience STEM in the most convenient way”, shared Mr. Oka.
At the ceremony, Panasonic also granted a symbolic donation of 1,300 UV germicidal lamps to representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training to equip at local schools in Binh Duong and Tra Vinh. This donation helps to contribute to protecting health of teachers and students and enhance a sustainable environment for local educational facilities.

The ceremony attracted the active participation of representatives from schools and STEM-loving communities in Hanoi. These activities initiated by Panasonic are expected to create an exciting, experiential, and creative playground for who passionate about science and technology.
Mr. Do Hoang Son, a member of the Vietnam STEM Alliance, shared: "By enhancing creativity in STEM and STEM experiences on Digital platform have opened a new approach to promoting STEM education in Vietnam, bringing STEM knowledge closer to students across Vietnam."
"Panasonic for sustainable schools" is a a social responsibility initiative of Panasonic Corporation in Vietnam, started since April 2022, inherit the success of Panasonic Risupia Vietnam – the open-for-free Mathematics and Science Museum from 2010 to 2021, for schools and students. The program provides opportunities for students to learn and practice STEM through lectures and practice toolkits, helping to increase awareness and provide solutions to critical issues of local and society, and raising awareness of environmental protection and global issues related to sustainable development. After more than two years of implementation, the program has has received active participation and companionship from more than 45 thousand students and nearly 100 schools and educational communities in Vietnam.
