Backlit, easy visible buttons, let you choose six tone levels (and custom tone levels) for clarifying different voice types. Plus, you can increase caller voice volumes by up to 40 dB and set the volume of the ringer up to 100 dB. The white backlit LCD and enlarged backlit numeric call dial keypad make calling quick and simple in any light conditions.
Audible/Visual Call Alerts
To complement the system's 15 ringtone options, bright
red LED visual ringers on the base unit and handsets
also flash when someone calls. And together with
Panasonic's Talking Caller ID, the KX-TGM422AZB

Power When the Power Goes Out
The built-in backup battery[*] in the base unit allows you to make and receive calls when
the power goes out.
The battery charge lasts up to 3 hours during continuous use and up to 4 hours in
standby mode if fully charged.
