Matcha Strawberry Fruit Sando

A colourful sandwich filled with strawberry and matcha cream. Every bite of the sandwich is bursting with a subtle hint of green tea and juicy sweetness from the strawberries.

Ingredients

For the bread loaf

  • 180 gbread flour
  • 70 g plain flour
  • 60 gsugar
  • 135 gwater
  • 25 gegg
  • 1.25 tspyeast
  • 50 gbutter

Matcha filling

  • 200 gcream
  • 40 gicing sugar
  • 3 tspmatcha powder

Garnish

  • Strawberries

Steps

1) Add all ingredients into Panasonic bread pan except for the yeast. Put the bread pan into bread maker and add yeast into the yeast dispenser.

2) Select menu “2” and press start.

3) Once bread is ready remove from bread maker and cool bread on a wire rack.

4) To make the matcha filling, mix the cream, icing sugar and matcha powder with a Panasonic hand mixer till medium to stiff peak. Cover the filling and let it set in the fridge.

5) To assemble the sando, slice the bread loaf into 1 cm thickness.

6) Spread a thick layer of cream on one slice of the bread and arrange strawberries over it.

7) Top with another layer of bread and cling wrap the sandwich. Repeat with the remaining bread slices. Let them set in fridge for at least an hour or overnight.

8) Trim off the four edges and slice the sandwich diagonally.
