Grilled Beets
The sweetness of beets is perfectly complemented by aromatic tahini sauce in this all-natural recipe that accentuates the delicious authentic flavor of beets, which are famed for their exceptionally high nutritional content.
What to prepare
Ingredients
- 350 gBeet (Beetroot)
- a pinch Salt and Pepper
- 1 tbspOlive Oil
- Parsley (finely chopped) or pistachio nuts (crushed) to garnish
TAHINI SAUCE
- 100 gYoghurt
- 1 tbspTahini (white sesame seed paste)
- a pinch Salt
- clove of Garlic, grated
Steps
1) Peel the beets, chop roughly into 3-cm chunks, place in a bowl and toss with the salt, pepper and olive oil.
2) Place the glass tray on the wire shelf, place a baking sheet on the glass tray, and arrange the beets on the baking sheet so that not on top of each other.
3) Slot the shelf into the middle shelf position, and cook on Combi 9 for about 15 minutes.
4) Toss the grilled beets in the tahini sauce. Sprinkle with finely-chopped parsley or crushed pistachio nuts to garnish.
