TV Anytime

Have you heard of TV Anytime? It is Panasonic’s unique and innovative feature which allows you to access your TV from a tablet or phone regardless of where in the world you might be. You can use the system to set recordings on your TV or, even better, you can stream live broadcasts or recorded content from your TV to your smart device - even if you're outdoors. All you need is an internet connection and "Panasonic Media Center App" in your smart device. Even thought On Demand provides us with easy ways to catch up on missed programmes, there are still things like sport, the news, and live events that we simply don’t want to miss. TV Anytime means you don’t have to miss those moments.

4K HDR Game Mode

We know that for many, buying a TV is about more than sport, TV shows, and NETFLIX. TVs are the centre of our gaming experiences too and so our engineers got to work to make sure that our optimal picture quality was matched by speed and feedback performance for the ultimate in gaming capability. By switching to 4K HDR Game Mode you’ll halve the display lag time from 40 milliseconds to 20 milliseconds. Superior image processing means quicker response times and an experience of instantaneous game play. Additionally, as the name suggests, the mode is perfect for 4K capable games; you’ll notice the difference.

What is HDR?

Put simply, it is better. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. A TV with HDR expands the expressible brights and darks to achieve more detailed images. When images are captured and displayed in 4K HDR they show greater colour and brightness range than even the naked eye can take in resulting in exquisite detail. Some TVs are stuck at an outdated 100-300 nits (brightness measurement) – reflecting the days of CRT TVs (the tube ones that used to weigh a tonne and had to sit a metre away from the wall because they were so bulky). In producing images at this level, a lot of details are lost in dark and bright colour areas. HDR delivers real-life details by increasing the brightness level to 1000 nits.

Panasonic TVs support now multiple HDR formats, such as HDR10 the standard HDR format for films and UHD Blu-ray discs, and now also Hybrid Log Gamma, the HDR format for broadcast TV developed by the BBC and Japan's NHK.

6 Colour Reproduction

Hexa Chroma Drive uses 6-Colour Reproduction, it manages colours by adding 3 complementary colours (CMY) to the 3 primary colours axes (RGB). This creates images which are naturally beautiful.

3D LUT

Panasonic Premium 4K TVs use a professional colour management system, 3D Look Up Tables, to reproduce colours in extremely fine brightness increments. This ensures that tones look accurate at virtually any brightness level.
