The GPS (Global Positioning System) newly complies with GLONASS (Global Navigation Satellite System) to further enhance its detection accuracy.
LEICA DC Lens with Folded Optics Technology
The DMC-TS5 features a high-quality LEICA DC lens with 4.6x optical zoom from 28mm wide-angle (35mm camera equivalent: 28-128mm). The folded optics of the shaft guide method secure the toughness of the lens unit. Passing the Leica's stringent standards, this lens delivers exceptional optical performance to the edges. Plus, an anti-fog glass for the lens cover prevents it from being fogged with steam.
POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabiliser)
The POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabiliser) suppresses the low-frequency vibration hand-shake component, which is physically generated when pressing the shutter button or when shooting at night with a slow shutter speed. The O.I.S. also works for powerful zoom shots, which are especially susceptible to hand-shake.
16.1-magapixel MOS Sensor
The 16.1-megapixel High Sensitivity MOS sensor boasts high-speed signal output and high-sensitivity image recording for making many advanced features possible. It also allows shooting images up to ISO3200 in full resolution.
Creative Panorama
LUMIX lets you apply artistic effects to panoramic images. You can choose from various effects to create a dynamic vertical / horizontal panoramic image with a unique touch just by swiveling the camera.
Creative Control / Creative Retouch
The Creative Control (in the recording mode) and the Creative Retouch (in the playback mode) give you the expressive power to turn ordinary situations into highly special scenes.
Time Lapse Shot
Leave the camera to record stationary observation of subjects such as flowers coming into bloom or scudding cloud. The series of consequent images can be combined in a camera to produce a time lapse video.
Torch Light
Torch light records beautiful videos even in dusky underwater environments or at a night time camp. It is also possible to turn only the light on to light up the subject even while the camera function is not activated.
Stereo Microphone
The videos also come with the high-quality stereo sound
of Dolby® Digital, to offer highly realistic sound to the
motion images. The stereo microphone comes with zoom
noise reduction system, and the Auto Wind Cut function
blocks out most of the noise from background wind.

Quad Indicator
The DMC-TS5 is specially designed for active outdoor use. It adopts GPS, compass, altimeter and even barometer to show and record altitude, barometric pressure and orientation data. The barometer also works as an indicator of depth underwater.
Manual Exposure
You can set the aperture to control the depth of field, and adjust the shutter speed to freeze moving subjects or create a motion blur that exaggerates the feeling of movement.
iA (Intelligent Auto) Mode
In the iA (Intelligent Auto) Mode, the camera does all the work, leaving you free to compose your shot and capture the moment. You just press, aim and shoot. The detection and correction functions go to work to give you beautiful photos and videos* with maximum ease.

This model has a 3.0-inch 460K-dot LCD with a 100% field of view. LUMIX's acclaimed Intelligent LCD function also automatically adjusts the brightness in 11 steps according to shooting conditions. It lets you share the fun of viewing images with family and friends, too.
