Panasonic Cambodia Celebrates the Successful Completion of Kid Witness News (KWN) National Filming Contest 2025

Panasonic Cambodia is excited to announce the successful completion of the 2025 Kid Witness News (KWN) National Filming Contest 2025, held for the first time as a national event. This year, 12 student teams from three top Cambodian schools, Beltei International School, Singapore Cambodia International Academy (SCIA), and Pannasastra International School (PSIS) showcased their creativity by producing films that addressed important global issues in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The KWN program encourages youth to use filmmaking as a tool for social change, empowering them to think critically and engage with global challenges. It provides a unique platform for young filmmakers to express themselves, develop essential skills, and become active global citizens.

After careful evaluation by the 3 coaches, each with over 10 years of experience, we are pleased to announce the winners of the competition: The Primary category winner is from and Pannasastra International School (PSIS), and the Secondary category winner is from Beltei International School. These talented teams will now represent Cambodia at the KWN Global Summit in October 2025, where they will join young filmmakers from around the world to compete and share their impactful stories.

“This year’s national competition marked a significant step in expanding the reach and impact of the KWN program in Cambodia,” said Mr. Hisakazu Maeda, Country Head of Panasonic Cambodia. “It was inspiring to see the students come together to express their ideas through filmmaking. The creativity and commitment to addressing important global issues were truly remarkable, and we are excited to continue supporting the development of Cambodia’s next generation of filmmakers.”

The KWN National Filming Contest 2025 is a cornerstone of Panasonic Cambodia’s commitment to fostering youth creativity and global awareness. Through initiatives like KWN, Panasonic continues to empower young people to become leaders who will drive positive change in the world.
