Today, 250 members from Board of Directors and employees of Panasonic in Vietnam excitedly participated in the charity Mottainai Run, and contributed to the program's fund to support unprivileged children. This year, the event was more special as in the framework of celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
As one of the sponsors for the event, hundreds of members of the board of directors and employees of seven companies of Panasonic Vietnam Group companies and their families gathered at the Hoan Kiem lake walking street very early at 6:00 am with the enthusiasm to participate in the fundraising Mottainai Run. Joining together with thousands local people, all Panasonic's participants completed the 1.7km running route named "Green Living" that is strongly reflect the company inspiration, as well as donated nearly VND 50 million to the event's fund to support orphans and disabled children. In particularly, two women runners from Panasonic System Networks Vietnam excellently won the Second and Third Prizes. Also, Panasonic was honored by the Organizing Committee for the enterprise with the most participated members in this year's running competition.

Mr. Oka Hiroyuki, Director of Panasonic Vietnam Company shared: “Panasonic officially presented in Vietnam in 1971, and we are proud to be one of the Japanese companies contributing to the 50 years diplomatic relations between two nations. Toward the next 50 years in Vietnam, Panasonic has committed to contribute to the wellness of Vietnamese people’s lives and sustainable development of the society. Therefore, we have dedicated ourselves to accompany Mottainai Festival for many years, to spread out the “Mottainai” spirit – an immersive Japanese culture spirit and join hands to raise funds to support in-needed children, while inspirationally promote our company vision for a wellness and sustainable Vietnam. Moreover, this is a valuable opportunity for us to unite all member company of Panasonic Group companies in Vietnam, nurturing the pride and strengthen the connection between our members."

Mottainai 2023 is the fourth time Panasonic sponsor this meaningful program. This is one of the CSR activities of the Japanese company to realize its commitment of contributing to society, in which desire to inspire each employee to become a "sustainable ambassador" to convey the message and enthusiasm for healthy lifestyle, environmental protection and sustainable development to the community. Previously in April, nearly 100 employees of Panasonic across Vietnam joined with local authorities and people to plant 13,500 trees in Xuan Lien Nature Reserve and neighboring area in Thanh Hoa province, along with various supporting activities to local communities such as Eco-learning class for students, Sustainable tourism Workshop for local resident....
Ms. Hoang Thi Lan, employee of Panasonic System Networks Vietnam, who won the Third Prize of Women run category shared: "I started running every day since participating in the company's internal running competition. Therefore, I was very excited to join this meaningful event with my colleagues with so much pride and energy to inspire community about wellness and sustainable living."
Mottainai Run is the main activity of the 10th Mottainai program, organized by Vietnam Women Newspaper, co-organised by the Vietnam Women's Union and the Japanese Embassy, National Traffic Safety Committee, and the sponsorship from domestics and Japanese corporations, aim at promoting green lifestyle, environment protection and raise fund for unprivileged children, especially orphans or disabled ones. More specially, the program is part of activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973-2023), with many Japanese-cultural immersive activities....
Also, various activities for public such as marketplace, auctions and fundraising had attracted thousands of local people to visit and participate during weekend.
