Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1 sheetKombu (8cm) (Kombu dashi powder optional)
- 800 mlWater
- 80 gRice (Pre-washed)
- 80 gPumpkin (Diced 1.5cm)
- 2 leavesCabbage (Sliced)
- 1 tspSesame oil
- Salt (To taste)
- White pepper (To taste)
GARNISH
- Furikake flakes (as topping)
- Spring onion (1 stalk)
Steps
1) Dice pumpkin into 1.5cm cubes and slice cabbage.
2) Add kombu and water into the cooking blender.
3) Cover and secure lid. Select “M” | 60°C | Speed 0 | 30 mins.
Note: Cook longer for a stronger flavour.
4) Remove kombu when the cooking ends.
Tip: Pat dry and store kombu airtight for broths or furikake.
5) Add diced pumpkin, cabbage and washed rice.
6) Cover and secure lid. Select “Porridge” | 45 mins.
Note: Cooking time may vary.
7) Drizzle sesame oil and sprinkle salt and white pepper. Top with furikake flakes and spring onion. Serve warm.
