Quality postnatal care with optimal
indoor air for mothers and newborns
Byond28 Confinement Care
Location: Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Client: MOM CARE SDN. BHD.
Byond28 Confinement Care is a professional postnatal care centre in Kuala Lumpur specialising in comprehensive maternal and infant care. The centre combines traditional Chinese postnatal care practices with modern facilities to give the best recuperating experience for both mothers and newborns.
Challenge: Providing a Hygienic Environment for Newborns
during Their First Month of Life
Newborns are susceptible to the effects of air quality. As newborns stay indoors most of the time, it is therefore vital to ensure good indoor air quality for their health and well-being, safeguarding them from the exposure to pollutants such as mould, dust and harmful chemicals that can lead to allergies, and other health issues. An environment with clean and fresh air is healthier for newborns to grow and thrive, while simultaneously helping mothers to recuperate better after childbirth.
Byond28 Confinement Care understands their clients and is committed to enhancing the indoor air quality of their centre to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for newborns, instilling confidence and a total peace of mind in parents during their stay.

Solutions & Technology Applied
Recognising the importance of quality indoor air for infant care, Byond28 Confinement Care has taken the proactive approach to install Panasonic ziaino™ air purification technology. A total of 7 units of ziaino™ Air Treatment Unit were installed to provide continuous safe indoor air in the centre.

Panasonic ziaino™ uses naturally derived salt and water to generate Aqua ziaino™, a hypochlorous acid solution, through the electrolysis process. ziaino™ takes in polluted air and its anti-bactericidal filter permeated with Aqua ziaino™ then cleans and releases vaporised Aqua ziaino™, spreading them throughout the room to inhibit any adhered viruses and bacteria, while deodorising the space. Aqua ziaino™ works by oxidising and decomposing odours and proteins that are source of bacteria and viruses.
Parents felt reassured and were at ease with the knowledge that ziaino™ only uses salt and water which is safe to use in manned spaces and present no harm to their babies. The centre was further impressed by its wide coverage of up to 1,000 sqft, with only two units required to cover the entire baby nursery.
“We understand that parents’ top priority is the safety and well-being of their babies. Having Panasonic ziaino™ further elevates the quality of life for newborns in Byond28 Confinement Care, allowing mothers to recuperate and have an enjoyable stay, knowing that their babies are in a safe environment,” said Sally Peh Chen Woon, centre manager of Byond28 Confinement Care.
The installation of ziaino™ Air Treatment Unit has demonstrated the centre’s commitment to providing a controlled, hygienic, and safe environment for their customers, and most importantly for infants in their first month of life.
