Seafood Paella
Paella is a great go-to meal to feed a large group of people. This recipe is specially created for our Steam Combination Microwave Oven, so this flavourful dish can be made even easier. Eat it straight from the pan, with a little bit of olive oil and a good amount of parsley to make it not only take nicer but look more appealing as well.
Ingredients
- 500 gmussels in shell
- 1 cupwater
- 1green capsicum (sliced)
- 1red capsicum (sliced)
- 2onions (sliced)
- 1garlic clove (crushed)
- 1 tbsbutter
- 2 cupslong grain rice
- 440 gcan of peeled tomatoes (roughly chopped)
- 1.5 cupshot chicken stock
- 1 pinch ofsaffron powder
- 1.5 cupscooked diced chicken
- 200 gpeeled green prawns
Steps
STEP 1
Place mussels and water into a 3-litre dish, cover and cook on 800W for 4 to 5 minutes. Set aside.
STEP 2
Place capsicums, onions, garlic and butter into a 4-litre dish and cook on 1000W for 4 to 6 minutes.
STEP 3
Add rice and stir well. Cook on 1000W for 2 to 4 minutes.
STEP 4
Stir in tomatoes, hot chicken stock and saffron.
STEP 5
Cook on 1000W for 16 to 18 minutes.
STEP 6
Stir in chicken, prawns and mussels and cook on 800W for 4 to 6 minutes.
STEP 7
Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
