You can start ironing without annoying temperature setting.... That is OPTIMAL IRON!
Temperature Settings by Fabric Types
When ironing, the proper temperature setting according to the fabric type is required. The wrong temperature setting can incur damages.
How does Optimal Iron Works?
To smooth out the wrinkles, the powers of fine, concentrated steam are applied instead of the high temperature of the soleplate.
Optimal Iron jets large quantities of concentrated steam, yet its soleplate maintains a constant temperature. Therefore, it is not necessary to change the temperature setting according to the fabric type.
Large quantity of concentrated steam smooths out wrinkles deep down from the fibre, so that it never loses its texture.
Cotton, silk and delicate materials such as blended fabrics can be finished beautifully by using steam function.
Tips: Soleplate of the iron maintains a temperature of approx. 120°C (While using steam) to prevent any damage to the clothes.
New Steam
Circulation System
Panasonic’s unique system makes the Optimal Care Iron
stand out.
Soleplate heating up time is greatly reduced and constant
temperature is maintained through the use of circulating
steam.
With these features, you are ready to iron in about
one minute.
Also, grooves along the steam holes are designed to
steam evenly for any direction of use.
360°Quick & Round Ride
The Double Head soleplate is designed symmetrically to
move 360°, so you don’t have to switch the direction.
The rounded surface prevents the iron from snagging on
the clothes, facilitating a smooth ironing experience.
Power Shot
Power Shot steam system jets large quantities of
concentrated steam, which penetrates deeply into thick
knitted item.
The steam smooths out wrinkles deep down from the fibre,
so that it never loses its texture.
Furthermore, it is ideal for removing odours caught in
hard-to-wash garments such as suits.
Anti-Drip
When the temperature of the soleplate drops to a certain
level, it automatically stops the water supply to prevent
leakage from the steam holes.
Even when you store the iron with water in the tank, the
Anti-Drip system prevents water leakage.
*Switch the iron to Dry mode when in storage.
Anti-calcium System
The Anti-Calcium system prevents accumulation of
scale, even with hard water.
Self Cleaning System
Pressing the Self-Cleaning button releases the water in
the tank at once for instant cleaning.
Power Shot
Power Shot removes remaining water completely and any
limescale in the steam holes continuously.

Tips: The difference between Steam and Spray
Steam
Particles penetrate beneath the fine fibre, making it suitable for line, delicate materials.
Suitable materials: Polyester, silk, mixed materials, etc.
Spray
Particle remains even on the coarse fibre surface, it is suitable for materials to have crisp finish.
Suitable materials: Natural fibers such as cotton, linen, etc.
Tips: Before the Ironing
Spin-dry may leave heavy wrinkles. To finish beautifully, keep the spin-dry time to a minimum, and smooth out the wrinkles when hanging out to dry.
Blouse
Select the Steam mode and smooth out the wrinkles by hand before ironing, then glide the iron throughout the garment. Do not press too hard on ruffles while penetrating steam into gathered area and pull the fibres to restore the shape.
Dress shirts
Dampen the shirt thoroughly with a spray and iron with a Dry-mode setting for a crisp finish. Easily wrinkled areas such as pockets and collars should be ironed with the tip of iron while pulling the seams.
Suits
Penetrate the wrinkles with steam while holding the iron slightly above the garment. Do not press the iron onto the fabric, or the fabric will become shiny. An iron mitten is also helpful for effective steaming.
Sweaters
Power Shot is recommended for stretched collar and cuffs. Hold iron above the area and steam, then restore the shape by hands.
