The new LUMIX TZ100 boasts 1-inch large High Sensitivity MOS Sensor at the heart of the camera to feature 20.1-megapixel high resolution image recording with unprecedented picture quality. Not only the powerful 10x optical zoom (25-250mm : 35mm camera equivalent) LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens, the new LUMIX TZ100 features 4K video recording capability - all in a slim, small body profile.
        Adoption of 1-inch MOS sensor realize high quality image recording with stunning details. The combination of the High Sensitivity MOS Sensor and the new Venus Engine achieves max. ISO 12800 high sensitivity recording with stunning picture quality that goes beyond the limit of digital compact camera.
        The LUMIX TZ100’s 25mm ultra wide angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens with powerful 10x optical zoom (35mm camera equivalent: 25-250mm) and 5-Axis HYBRID O.I.S.+(Optical Image Stabilizer Plus)*¹ offer versatile angle of view while suppressing hand-shake in both photo and video recording.
        The LUMIX TZ100 records stunningly smooth, high-resolution QFHD 4K video in 3840x2160 at 25p(50Hz) or 24p in MP4. Taking advantage of 4K technology, users can enjoy 4K PHOTO and a variety of derivative functions such as Post Focus, Light Composition or 4K Live Cropping.
        The LUMIX TZ100 integrates a 0.2-inch 1,166K-dot LVF (Live View Finder) and the 3-inch rear monitor newly integrates touch control system. The independent dials and the Control Ring provide an intuitive way to capture your creative vision with ease and precision.
        For even faster response and higher mobility, the LUMIX TZ100 realize high-speed, high precision AF with DFD (Depth From Defocus) technology*².

1. The ultimate travel zoom camera with 1-inch MOS Sensor and powerful 10x zoom
        The LUMIX TZ100 newly incorporates 1-inch large High Sensitivity MOS Sensor with 20.1-megapixel high resolution. The new 1-inch sensor is 4x larger than conventional 1/2.3-inch sensor in size. This new large MOS Sensor improves S/N ratio, resulting in dramatic reduction of noise even in shooting at ISO 12800. Rich amount of light help produces impressive defocus with shallow depth of field.
        The image processor Venus Engine is also newly developed for LUMIX TZ100 to dramatically boost its performance with new quad-core CPU that lets high speed signal processing required for rich video recording such as 4K. The advanced Multi-process NR (Noise Reduction) applies effective noise reduction and detail processing according to each component frequency. Plus, newly added Random Filter granulates chromatic noise to be blended into the image even more naturally. As a result, the max. ISO 12800 is achieved. Newly adopted aperture filter is capable of controlling over wider frequency range. It adjusts the amount of sharpness according to the frequency level, giving rich depth. The Venus Engine also improves color reproduction with accurate evaluation of each color even it is similar not only in color phase but also in saturation and luminosity.
        The combination of the large MOS Sensor and the Venus Engine achieves stunning picture quality going beyond the limit of digital compact camera.
        The LUMIX TZ100 equips 25mm ultra wide angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens with powerful 10x optical zoom (35mm camera equivalent: 25-250mm). Five aspherical lenses are used for LUMIX TZ100 to achieve downsizing of the high zoom lens unit. It is difficult to align aspherical lenses due to its optical characteristic, however, Panasonic’s Black Box technologies in optics and mechanical design make it possible to adopt munificent aspherical lenses while maintaining high optical performance.　Passing Leica's stringent standards, LUMIX TZ100 boasts exceptional optical performance with stunning clarity with minimum distortion and flare.

2 .4K capability bringing the evolution in videography/photography – 4K video and 4K PHOTO
        The LUMIX TZ100 records stunningly smooth, high-resolution QFHD 4K video in 3840x2160 at 30p(60Hz) / 25p(50Hz) or 24p in MP4 in addition to the full-HD 1,920 x 1,080 60p (60 Hz) / 50p (50 Hz) videos in AVCHD Progressive or MP4 (MPEG-4 / H.264) format with practical full-time AF.
        Taking advantage of 4K technology, users can enjoy 4K PHOTO with LUMIX TZ100. With the 4K PHOTO, users can capture the fleeting photo opportunities at 30 fps in 8-megapixel equivalent resolution by extracting a frame of the most photogenic timing out of the 4K burst file to save as a photo. Three exclusive functions are integrated to make the 4K photography even easier; 4K Burst Shooting, 4K Burst (Start/Stop) and 4K Pre-burst. The 4K Burst Shooting allows consecutive shooting at 30 fps*¹, which can be used just like a photo burst shooting. All these functions in 4K PHOTO mode enables saving pictures in 8-megapixel equivalent high resolution; 3584×2684(4:3), 3800×2534(3:2), 4000×2248(16:9), 2928×2928(1:1) without missing the spur-of-the-moment.
        The LUMIX TZ100 comes with the Post Focus function that enables users to select in-focus area even after shooting. You can get multiple shots with different focus point with a single shutter release to choose from. It is helpful in situations like macro shooting where severe focusing is required or for changing expressions by changing focused subject. This function has been developed by combining the high-speed, high-precision DFD (Depth From Defocus) auto focus technology and the 4K technology.  Burst images in 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixel) are shot at 30 fps while detecting max. 49 areas of a frame to set focus on each of them. Operation is quite simple and easy – just shoot an image in a Post Focus mode and touch on the point where you want to set focus while playing back the image. You can take advantage of Focus Peaking, 5x magnified view and fine adjustment functions to set focus precisely, taking as much time as you want after shooting.
        In addition, the LUMIX TZ100 incorporates Light Composition function as a new option of 4K PHOTO mode. The camera synthesize the images by choosing and saving a brighter pixel. This makes it possible to produce more luxurious, dramatic image of situations such as fireworks or night scenery in camera with ease.
        Not only these, the LUMIX TZ100 also enables 4K Live Cropping in video recording that realizes stable panning or zooming in video recording. In panning shots, you can just set the viewing angle to start and end with to get smooth panning imagery without using a special equipment like a slider. In zooming, you can set the after-zoomed viewing angle first, so that the subject can be perfectly in the frame. Thanks to the digital operation, the imagery of zooming is smooth because it does not move zoom lens physically.
        The powerful 10x optical zoom with smooth 2-step zoom and 5-Axis HYBRID O.I.S.+(Optical Image Stabilizer Plus)*² are available in video recording, too. The 5-Axis correction compensates for the handshake occurring in virtually any direction.
        High Speed Video enables recording subject with fast motion at 120 fps (NTSC / FHD) / 100 fps (PAL / FHD), while Time Lapse /Stop Motion Animation are also available.

･Motion pictures with their file size set to [FHD],[HD]or[VGA]in[MP4]:
Recording stops when the continuous recording time exceeds 29 min 59 sec or the file size exceeds 4GB.
-Since the file size becomes larger with [FHD], recording with [FHD] will stop before 29 minutes 59 seconds.
･Motion pictures with their file size set to [4K] in [MP4]:
Recording stops when the continuous recording time exceeds 15 minutes.
(You can continue recording without interruption even if the file exceeds 4GB, but the motion picture will be recorded and played back in separate files.)

3-1 Intuitive control
        The LUMIX TZ100 integrates a 0.2-inch 1,166K-dot LVF (Live View Finder). The image output between the LVF and the rear monitor is switched automatically with the eye sensor on the LVF.
        Adopting a static-type touch control system, the 3.0-inch rear monitor features approx.100% field of view. The touch-control system immediately lets users set focus on the subject simply by touching the screen and releasing the shutter. It is free and easy to enlarge the target point with fingertips to set precise focus.
        The independent dials and the Control Ring located on the lens barrel provide an intuitive way to capture your creative vision with ease and precision. Smoother control of exposure and zoom allows you to concentrate on framing the perfect picture and pressing the shutter at the perfect moment. It also provides easier access to frequently-used settings such as aperture, shutter speed, focus, filter effect, and scene mode.
        For even more precise control over focusing, the LUMIX TZ100 also boasts a Focus Peaking function that shows the peak of focus in manual focus mode, so you can be sure where exactly the focus is.

4. High-speed response
        For even faster response and higher mobility, the LUMIX TZ100 newly integrates a dedicated linear motor into the focus system to achieve ultra high-speed AF. In addition, the Light Speed AF is further enhanced with an adoption of DFD (Depth From Defocus) technology*¹ which even shortens the time to set focus. It calculates the distance to the subject by evaluating 2 images with different sharpness level at 240 fps high signal exchange speed. As a result, the LUMIX TZ100 achieves ultra high speed AF of approx.0.1 sec*². This improvement benefits more as focal length increases. The LUMIX TZ100 boasts high speed burst shooting at 10 fps (AFS) / 6 fps (AFC) to capture fast moving subject just in-focus.

5. Other Features
･Easy Wireless Connectivity via Wi-Fi^® with Smartphones ADVANCED
The LUMIX TZ100 integrates Wi-Fi® connectivity (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n) to offer more flexible shooting experience and instant image sharing with easy operation. Once connecting the camera and smartphone/tablet installing Panasonic's dedicated application Panasonic Image App for iOS / Android, users can shooting / browsing / sharing images remotely. Users can upload the images to a variety of social media service right on the spot. Plus, the LUMIX TZ100 users are eligible to have free 100GB storage on Google Drive™ to save photo and video data*.
