1.     Achieved 200W suction power, highest in the history of Panasonic through the newly developed high-power motor.
With its newly developed large fan motor, it can create a larger and stronger airflow with just one rotation of the fan. This creates a powerful suction power. The stress on the motor is also reduced through lower rotation speed and thus prolonged the battery life.

MC-BJ980 is equipped with 8 large capacity Lithium Ion Batteries and it can run up to 65 mins (long mode with nozzle brush turned off). The batteries are placed in series and thus the load for each battery is reduced. With this design, the batteries life is prolonged without the need to charge the vacuum repeatedly.

While in automatic mode, the “House Dust Sensor controls the suction power depending on the presence of dust. MC-BJ980 will turn to high suction power mode when detecting dust and will turn back to low suction power mode after its cleaned. With this mode, it can run up to 40 minutes.

The full capture power nozzle is designed to clean all corners, edges and gaps efficiently. Its unique design of the front cover flips up when contacting a wall. Its low design nozzle head also enables users to cleaner narrow gaps or underneath the furniture. With its specially designed V-shaped brush, it can clean up any type of flooring including wooden, tiles and carpet.

5.     First Household Appliance to use cellulose fiber resin and only weight of 2.6kg
MC-BJ980 is currently using the “cellulose fiber resin” that is both light and strong. Combine with the honeycomb structure to build the Stick Vacuum, MC-BJ980 only weights 2.6kg. This enables our customer to move freely and less weight to tie them down.
