Panasonic presents “A Better Life, A Better World” at IGEM 2013

Petaling Jaya, 3 October 2013 - Panasonic Malaysia today announced its plan to showcase its latest innovative and comprehensive Green Technology and Solutions in the 4th International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia (IGEM 2013). Having participating for consecutively 4 years in a row, Panasonic Malaysia will not cease to impress visitors with state of the art green technology and eco products.

During the IGEM 2013, Panasonic will be revealing the new global brand slogan, “A Better Life, A Better World’.

The slogan launched this year, expresses Panasonic’s vision of expanding and pursuing a better life for each individual customer, in various spaces and fields, and realizing a better world globally through its contribution to the environment and other activities, in both B2B and B2G segments.

Bringing a step further, Panasonic Malaysia will enhance strategic collaboration and partnership towards a sustainable nation through the theme “Partnering for A Better Malaysia”. “IGEM will be the avenue for us to showcase these strategic collaborations with key industry players which consists of both Corporate and Government agencies focusing on Green Technology,” said Yosuke Matsunaga, Managing Director of Panasonic Malaysia.

Stepping into the Panasonic pavilion, visitors will be shown a full display of Green Solutions. Various applications moving towards a Green Malaysia will be showcased to reflect Panasonic’s wide range of energy efficient and intelligent products and solutions. “Panasonic is committed in enriching the people’s life through our range of Eco Products and Solutions. This exhibition will showcase a wide range of solutions for home or businesses that are Eco Conscious at the same time.” added Matsunaga.

Among the key highlights shall be the Electric Vehicle Charging Solutions and Infrastructure, feature of Solar Photovoltaic Technology alongside RE Project Developments, Smart Energy Efficient Products in the form of EcoNavi Technology, Indoor Air Quality Solutions, Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) Cooling Solutions, LED Lighting Solutions, PanaHome Building Solutions, Eco Kitchen Systems, Smart and Sustainable Township Solutions, Concept of Panasonic Econation Center, Green Room Systems and Eco Visualization Systems, Environmental Engineering, Eco-Community and CSR Initiatives, Solar LED Lantern Project and Lumix Eco Photo Contest. The net take away for every visitor shall be the vast knowledge gained in relation to captivating eco technologies and the correlating realistic applications adopted in Malaysia.

The Panasonic pavilion will be located at No. B167 – B194, Hall 4, Ground Floor, Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC) from 10 – 13 October 2013. Staying true to Panasonic’s commitment in building a Green Malaysia, Matsunaga shared that Panasonic pavilion is designed and constructed with Eco-friendly materials and are non toxic. “We ensure that the materials used are of rapidly renewable source and with recycle content” added Matsunaga.

Following the success of Project WATTS (Where Aid Turns to Sustainability) in 2012, Panasonic Malaysia participated again in Truly Loving Company (TLC) initiated Project WATTS 2013. Playing its role as a Good Corporate Citizen, Panasonic Malaysia offered energy saving appliances to selected charity homes, at a discounted price. This year, Panasonic Malaysia also agreed to fulfill the wish list for energy saving electrical solutions for 5 Charity Homes.

These Econavi and Intelligent Inverter products boast water and energy savings with high performance. Panasonic would like to encourage usage of such products to increase overall well-being of the nation. The five charity homes that will benefit from Panasonic’s contribution are Pengasih Malaysia, Pusat Kebajikan Good Shepherd, Rumah Ozanam, Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation and The National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia.
