Challenge: To improve peace of mind with a cleaner air environment
EyeVet opened 7 years ago as a specialist in ophthalmology, seeing pets who have been referred from clinics offering general examinations. Pets’ eye issues are not always caused by problems with the eyes, and can stem from issues with hormonal diseases such as uterine disease or diabetes. As such, the clinic works with the pet’s regular vet to solve these problems.
EyeVet pays careful attention to its waiting rooms to ensure that pet owners who visit the clinic with worries about their pets can wait in a hotel-like, relaxing environment. Smells are a major factor in creating a relaxing environment, and so to date the clinic has taken thorough measures such as installing air purifiers and continuously using alcoholic disinfectants to ensure that visitors to the clinic do not notice the unique animal odour. Around 2 months ago, the clinic introduced ziaino®. The level of air cleanliness has increased significantly, and the reaction from pet owners has been positive.
Solution: The sense of trust offered by the Panasonic brand
Director of the clinic Ichiro Kobayashi was aware of the excellent deodorising and disinfecting properties of hypochlorous acid from his previous use of the solution in medical situations, and so he had confidence that as a product using hypochlorous acid, ziaino® would boast excellent performance. The strength of the Panasonic brand has also been a major factor. Rather than staff telling visitors that the clinic is working to create a clean air environment, simply having the ziaino® product in the waiting room with a Panasonic sticker on it has shown visitors that they are working with a trustworthy company to provide peace of mind.
Kobayashi has noticed at times that it can have a slight smell, similar to that of a swimming pool. The clinic is used to using hypochlorous acid and have no problems with the smell of it, however Kobayashi says that he would like to provide a hotel-like waiting space for pet owners, so he hopes that Panasonic will continue to develop the ziaino® product to enable this.
*Although the hypochlorous acid released by ziaino® is almost completely odourless, a chlorine-like smell can occur when hypochlorous acid breaks down dirt and odours. For example, if the chlorine-like smell is an issue, please turn the electrolytic strength mode to “low.”

*Deodorising effect depends on the ambient environment (temperature and humidity), operation time, and type/degree of odour.
