Left-Over Turkey Samosas
Having friend over after Thanksgiving dinner? Don’t worry we have a quick and delicious recipe that will keep your guests satisfied and will help you get rid of all that leftover turkey! This recipe can be made any Panasonic Inverter microwave oven!
Ingredients
Pastry
- 450 gflour
- 1 tspsalt
- 6 tbspoil
- 200 mlwater
Filling
- 100 gfinely chopped onion
- 15 mlgaram masala
- 1.5 tspchilli powder
- 1 tspoil
- 50 gpeas
- 50 gsweetcorn
- 5 mlginger paste
- 300 gfinely diced potato
- 125 gcarrot
- 100 gcooked turkey breast
Steps
STEP 1
Sieve flour and salt together and then rub in the oil.
STEP 2
Add enough water to form stiff dough and knead for 10 minutes
STEP 3
Roll out thinly in a rectangular shape to approximately 1 millimetre thick.
STEP 4
Cut into 20cm x 8cm (8" x 3") strips.
STEP 5
Place the onion, garam masala, chilli powder, and oil in a large bowl and cover with pierced cling film. Cook on High heat in the microwave for 2 minutes.
STEP 6
Add the peas, sweetcorn and ginger. Cook in the microwave on High heat for a further 1 minute.
STEP 7
Combine all the ingredients and the turkey together; add a good pinch of salt to taste.
STEP 8
Preheat oven on Turbo Bake 200°C and Grill with the wire rack in the upper position.
STEP 9
Place a rounded dessert spoonful of mixture on the corner of the pastry, diagonally from bottom left of strip and fold into triangle shapes.
STEP 10
Seal the last edge down with a paste made from mixing plain flour with water.
STEP 11
Place samosas on enamel shelf and baking sheet and brush with oil.
STEP 12
Place samosas in oven and cook on Turbo Bake 200°C and Grill for 12 minutes.
