Richer Tonal Expression

New 25.2MP BSI CMOS Sensor

The LUMIX GH7 incorporates a completely new image sensor. The new 25.2-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor delivers a richer tonal expression and improved AF performance through Phase Detection AF, helping you produce high-quality content.

Dynamic Range Boost

Experience the power of Dynamic Range Boost featuring sensor-based HDR tech that blends two brightness levels in a single exposure, delivering rich tonal range and sharper shadow and highlight detail. In stills, it enhances shadow tones for RAW editing. In video, enjoy a stunning 13+-stop dynamic range and wide colour gamut with V-Log/VGamut recording.

・This function is applied automatically.
・Dynamic Range Boost is not activated when shooting video/slow & quick shooting at speeds higher than 60 fps, or with SH burst shooting.
・Dynamic Range Boost is not activated at shutter speeds slower than 1/15 during still image shooting, depending on the ISO.

Unlimited Video Recording Time*

Unlimited 4:2:2 10-bit C4K/4K 60p/50p Video Recording Time

Unlimited 4:2:2 10-bit C4K/4K 60p/50p Video Recording Time

Designed for video professionals, the GH7 is engineered for continuous recording in any environment. Its truly unlimited 4K 50/60p recording up to 40 degrees Celsius sets the industry benchmark for thermal reliability in hybrid cameras.

*Under the guaranteed operating environment. When using a battery. The recording time depends on the capacity of the battery and the recording media. **-10–40℃. ・Corresponding to 4K (4096×2160) as defined by Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI). ・CFexpress card or an SD memory card with Video Speed Class 90 is required.

Open Gate Video Recording

Open Gate Video Recording

With 5.7K 4:2:0 10-bit 60p/50p (17:9) and 5.8K 30p/25p/24p 4:2:0 10-bit (4:3) modes, the LUMIX GH7 offers higher resolution and higher bit rates than ever before. Moreover, Open Gate recording enables flexible framing for any social media platform or client needs.

HFR (High Frame Rate)

High-resolutions slow-motion recording, a recent trend in video production, is made possible using C4K/4K 10-bit 100/120p video recording with audio. The LUMIX GH7 also offers a wide range of recording modes for high-end editing. FHD 200/240p 10-bit ALL-Intra recording allows you to create unforgettable images with effects such as speed ramping. Or shoot high-resolution 5.7K 10-bit (17:9) and 4.4K 10-bit (4:3) video at 48p. You can even shoot double slow-motion video at the cinematic frame rate of 24p. Allows tracking AF during HFR video recording.*

*When shooting at 120.00p or lower with a compatible lens.

VFR (Variable Frame Rate)

Offers up to 12.5x super slow-motion (FHD 24p/300fps) video at 10-bit recording. Equipped with VFR (variable frame rate) recording, the LUMIX GH7 lets you easily overcrank or undercrank your video while shooting. With quick motion up to 60x (C4K/4K/FHD 60p/1fps), the LUMIX GH7 also offers a wide range of recording modes for high-end editing, including 4:2:2 10-bit ALL-Intra (C4K/4K 60fps, FHD 240fps) and 5.7K high-resolution recording.

Fast & Intelligent AI Autofocus

Phase Hybrid AF

Phase Hybrid AF

Dependable autofocus is critical. The LUMIX GH7’s Phase Detection AF system ensures fast and reliable autofocus performance even in challenging lighting conditions. The camera can accurately track human subjects in both photo and video recording.

Advanced Subject Recognition

The LUMIX’s advanced detection AF pushes the envelope on of sports, wildlife, and and car/motorcycle photography. More accurate human body recognition enables you to single out a subject from among a field of athletes, for example, and shoot continuously.

Our most advanced autofocus system enhances subject recognition, significantly improving performance in capturing sports, wildlife, and motorsports. The LUMIX GH7 now recognises a wider range of subjects, including human and animal eyes, vehicle fronts, helmets, and even the tip of a plane.

Easy Hand-held Shooting

Easy Hand-held Shooting

Great for Shooting on the Move

Active I.S. + Advanced E.I.S.
The LUMIX GH7 makes it easy to shoot video on the move. Active I.S. determines the status of camera shake and optimises correction ratios to compensate even for significant motion, while advanced E.I.S. suppresses perspective distortion that occurs during video shooting. You can use High Mode to compensate for even greater motion, meaning that you can enjoy blur-less shooting, even if you start running with the camera still rolling.

Hand-held Shooting on the Move

7.5-stop B.I.S.
Handheld shooting can be challenging. The LUMIX GH7 makes it a bit easier. B.I.S. with 7.5-stop compensation power corrects camera shake, meaning you can use up to 7.5-stop slower shutter speeds.* At telephoto range, where B.I.S. is reduced, 7.5-stop 5-axis Dual I.S. 2 provides powerful compensation,** allowing you to express your creativity without limitations in low-light environments and at telephoto range.
