It’s the second pandemic Christmas – and worries and sadness still fill the air.
Many Filipinos take solace in the comfort of their homes, but others are not as fortunate. Some still do not have jobs or are having challenges bouncing back, others experience anxiety and emotional struggles, and there are many who’ve spent a long time away from their families.
At times, the only respite is a break - entertainment and connections made through social media.
Care Wins When You Never Stop Caring
Care has always been imbibed in the Panasonic DNA.
As the care champion, we took it upon ourselves to uplift the Filipino spirits with a campaign that not only touches the Filipinos emotionally, but also provides care-driven solutions to their safety, hygiene, and wellness concerns.
Panasonic believes that care starts at home.

However, because of the prevailing sentiments of Filipinos, we thought of doing more, and this sparked the #NeverStopCaring Christmas initiative.
Panasonic Celebrates Christmas By #NeverStopCaring
For its Christmas initiative this year, Panasonic tapped Pawssion Project, Shining Light Foundation, ABS-CBN Foundation, and International Justice Mission as its partner charities who will receive donations based on a series of games played by celebrities.
To provide a quick respite from the challenges the year has brought by providing hope and entertainment and give back to the Filipinos - these were the goals for Panasonic's Christmas initiative.
Celebrities Camille Prats-Yambao, Gary Valenciano, Sarah Lahbati-Gutierrez, Zion Gutierrez, Carlo Aquino, and Lara Quigaman-Alcaraz, with host Eri Neeman during the #ZionAlarm segment where viewers will get a chance to win P1,000 in cash.
Through a Facebook live, and with the presence of the country's top celebrities Gary Valenciano, Sarah Lahbati-Gutierrez, Zion Gutierrez, Camille Prats-Yambao, Lara Quigaman-Alcaraz, Carlo Aquino, with Eri Neeman as host, Panasonic shared its message of hope and gratitude, initiated games and giveaways, and spotlighted four charity beneficiaries to receive donations this Christmas: International Justice Mission (an international organization with the mission of stopping online sexual exploitation of children in the Philippines), ABS-CBN Foundation Inc. (a non-profit organization that focuses on child welfare and protection, environment preservation, and disaster response), Pawssion Project (an organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of animals in need), and Shining Light Foundation, Inc. (an organization that helps church workers, poor, sick, widows, and orphans through acts of spiritual and financial blessing).
The celebrities split into teams and played games to win cash prizes for their chosen charities. Towards the end of the program, all charities essentially won as each went home with cash prizes for their respective organizations.
The charities also shared – to the millions of viewers the live event reached – their purpose and where they plan on allocating the funds they will receive. It was truly an uplifting moment for the viewers who were inspired, grateful, and hopeful as they shared comments and messages on the care-driven Facebook live.
Beyond this Christmas initiative, Panasonic won’t stop doing its part in helping Filipinos achieve A Better Life, A Better World, this #MaalagangPasko and beyond.
