DC-S5

The fact that the Micro Four Thirds System and S Series complement each other ideally and many LUMIX G Series users expand their system with an S Series with a full-frame sensor is further proof of how Panasonic plans long-lasting products for its customers and then develops them until they are ready for the market.

It also shows that Panasonic listens to LUMIX users when developing cameras and systems. The DC-S5, another full-frame Digital Single Lens Mirrorless (DSLM) camera with L-Mount which the company presented in 2020, is no exception. With the slogan “Moving Images Forward”, the LUMIX DC-S5 combines professional, cinema-quality video recording performance with outstanding photo properties.

Because only a few months earlier, Leica Camera AG, with its world-renowned technology and Panasonic, with its many years of expertise in the field of digital AV (audio video) technology, joined forces by signing a cooperation treaty - the LUMIX brand was born.

Thanks to its 24.2-megapixel full-frame sensor with Panasonic‘s unique Dual Native ISO technology, it provides extremely low-noise pictures even at high ISO sensitivity.

And in spite of the large sensor and the professional hybrid features, the body of the DC-S5 is smaller and lighter than the DC-GH5.
