LUMIX Ambassadors
Olivier Jean Baptiste Lavielle
"Panasonic saved my back! The same range of Lumix tools is only one-third the weight and I can shoot more discreetly in places that aren’t so safe. I can also move easily and shoot high quality pictures. I’ve even found new sources of inspiration!"
Olivier Jean Baptiste Lavielle is an art-photographer from France whose work you can find in 25 countries, thanks to almost 89 galleries around the world. He’s also a photojournalist, a movie director and a director of photography.
Formerly a huge fan of mechanics, part of his work focused on vintage cars and planes. But he is also a globetrotter and a fan of wildlife, nature and portraiture. As a photographer, he sees his job as capturing something wherever he has the chance to be, and bring it to those who don’t have that chance. As an artist, he tries his best to create photography around his own vision of the world, to share it and, maybe, to touch people emotionally. Rather than just taking pictures, he lives an adventure. As a photojournalist, his hope is to be a witness of his time and bring people a part of reality that they can analyze for themselves to become more aware and make up their own minds.
Lavielle is also a teacher of photography because he feels that sharing something links people together, and because art is one of the last spaces of freedom. His sincere hope is that his work will inspire people to create and share!
