The LUMIX S series: Designed for professionals
High reliability is the most important thing when it comes to professional use.
For professional demands, the LUMIX S5 full-format cameras always remain reliably operational, even in all climatic conditions and in crowds, as e. g. photo and video reports. Bad weather, high humidity, dryness or dust can't harm a LUMIX S in a hurry.
The robust housing of the cameras is equipped with a magnesium alloy for this purpose and, thanks to special seals, it is protected against splash water and dust on all sides¹.

Simple colour grading with REAL TIME LUT
Professionals use LUT profiles in order to record a maximum dynamic range and to have the greatest possible leeway for colour control in post production. A LUT (Look Up Table) is a colour allocation table that can be used to transfer specific colour, brightness, and contrast values between videos.
The LUMIX S5 full-frame cameras inherently offer a range of image profiles, as for example V-Log/V-Gamut for a wide scope in post-processing with a high dynamic range of 14+ aperture stops.
A REAL TIME LUT feature is already integrated within the camera with the LUMIX S5II and S5IIX. While LUTs are often used in post-processing, colour correction LUTs on the LUMIX S5II and S5IIX can be uploaded to an SD card and applied directly in the camera.
