Technical Partner since 2017, Panasonic becomes this year's Official Partner (TV, Video, Photo) of the Cannes Film Festival, whose 72nd edition will take place in Cannes from 14th to 25th May 2019.

HOLLYWOOD TO YOUR HOME

Well-known for its expertise and close collaboration with several major movie studios and production companies in Hollywood, Panasonic is a technological reference in the field of television. Its latest HCX PRO Intelligent processor fine-tuned in Hollywood, its mastery of picture quality thanks to the cooperation of famous colorists and its THX certification make Panansonic the ultimate cinema brand.

Therefore, this year Panasaonic goes deeper into partnership with the Cannes Film Festival to promote the Seventh Art.

The brand will install more than a hundred OLED/LED screens and Blu-ray players near Le Palais des Festivals to broadcast the event’s exclusive content.

One of the most renown events in the world, the Cannes Film Festival expects to welcome more than 40,000 festival-goers, including 4,500 journalists and photographers from 161 different countries. This is a great opportunity for Panasonic to promote its professional image quality to an expert audience.

LUMIX S, FULL FRAME WITHOUT COMPROMISE

For the first time, PANASONIC LUMIX also becomes the Official Partner of the Cannes Film Festival for Photography.

Professionals and especially the 400 photographers covering the event this year will have the chance to discover Panasonic’s new cameras LUMIX S1 and S1R.

These full-frame mirrorless cameras are equipped with 5 axis dual image stabilisation, can film in 4K 60p and withstand dust and splash resistant and designed for use at temperature as low as -10°C.

During the Festival, LUMIX will be presenting its LUMIX S1 and S1R to the registered photo professionals by the swimming pool of the Majestic Hotel.

They will have the opportunity to discover these new cameras along with their ecosystem and try them out for a few hours, guided by our team and photo ambassadors.

Moreover, several masterclasses hold by Olivier Anrigo, Professional Photographer and LUMIX Ambassador, will unveil every secret and the full potential of these exceptional cameras.

''It is a great honor to support the Seventh Art and become this year’s Official Partner of the Cannes Film Festival. By joining this prestigious event, Panasonic highlights once again its know-how in professional image quality, whether through its LED and OLED screens or its LUMIX S1 and S1R full-frame mirrorless cameras. This partnership is part of our long-term strategy, transpose as faithfully as possible the film directors’ intentions on screen,'' declares Eric Novel, General Manager Panasonic France-Belux.
