Panasonic Appoints New Managing Director for its Life Solutions Business in the Region

Ito will spearhead the brand’s life solutions business, which includes air moving solutions, energy systems and electrical solutions for the Middle East, Africa and Pakistan market

Panasonic has announced the appointment of Eiji Ito as the new Managing Director for its life solutions company Panasonic Life Solutions Middle East & Africa (PLSMEA), a subsidiary of Panasonic Marketing Middle East and Africa (PMMAF). Ito is associated with the brand for over two decades and is expected to create a stronger foundation for growth of the life solutions business of Panasonic.

Ito took charge as the company’s MD effective from 1st April 2021 and will be responsible for driving synergies and growth of all business divisions in the region for Panasonic under the life solutions umbrella comprising Wiring Devices, LED Lighting Fixtures, Fire Alarm System and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) solutions.

Ito brings with him rich experience in managerial roles, having spent most of his career in India and UAE Ito has held a variety of key leadership roles at various Panasonic offices and first joined Dubai Office in 2003 as Manager of sales & marketing for Beauty, Health care & Electrical Construction Material (ECM) solutions. Since then, he has worked in India and Hong Kong before joining the MEA regional HQ once again as the Sales Director for Panasonic’s ECM and IAQ divisions. He has played an essential role in driving the organization towards a world-class manufacturing and technological leader. He was appointed DMD (Deputy Managing Director) of the life solutions last year.
