High speed at your fingertips
The lightweight, compact high-speed telephoto lens is just right for handheld photography. 200mm (35mm camera equivalent: 400mm) telephoto capability and F2.8 brightness give you the distance and speed you need to capture birds and other animals and take great sports shots as well. The included 1.4x teleconverter boosts focal length to 280mm (35mm camera equivalent: 560mm).* Switches are designed to make focusing smooth, while the weatherproof body helps keep you ready in all environments.
*The 1.4x teleconverter (DMW-TC14) is also sold separately as an optional accessory.
1.4x teleconverter (bundled accessory)
The DMW-TC14 enables capturing distant subject up close. This extends the focal length from 200mm to 280mm (35mm camera equivalent: 400mm to 560mm) by just attaching it to the rear of the lens.
･Use of the 1.4x teleconverter (DMW-TC14) reduces the effective aperture by one f/stop.
2.0x teleconverter (sold separately)
The DMW-TC20 extends the focal length from 200mm to 400mm (35mm camera equivalent: 400mm to 800mm) by just attaching it to the rear of the lens. For a full-frame model, the tripod requires an 800mm focal length, but this combination enables easy handheld shooting.
･Use of the 2x teleconverter (DMW-TC20) reduces the effective aperture by two f/stops.
Dust, splash and freeze-resistant design
LEICA DG ELMARIT 200mm / F2.8 / POWER O.I.S. is designed to keep shooting in the toughest conditions thanks to its dust- and splash-resistant construction and allows you to shoot in temperatures as low as -10 °C.
･Dust- and splash-resistant does not guarantee that damage will not occur if this lens is subjected to direct contact with dust and water.
O.I.S. for ultra-sharp photos
Capture what you see on the spur of the moment. Optical image stabilization (O.I.S.) technology built directly into the lens ensures your photos will look great, with sharp, blur-free contours across the entire image.
Nano Surface Coating – clarity from all angles
Put an end to unwanted ghosting and flaring – the Nano Surface Coating has been applied to lenses within the system. This special, ultra-thin coating was developed originally by Panasonic to reduce bothersome reflections across the entire light spectrum. The result: crystal-clear pictures even if you’re photographing a light source in the dark.
