Automated Valet Parking System
Achieving driverless *Automated Valet Parking without dedicated expensive sensors(SAE Level 4 in limited areas)
*Automated Valet Parking: AVP
Using only in-vehicle sensing for ADAS
Conventional devices such as cameras, sonars, radars
Integrated infrastructure monitoring system
Ensuring safety in parking lots by integrating in-vehicle sensing and Infrastructure monitoring system with surveillance cameras used for security purposes
Links to monitoring system with Management Server
In-vehicle sensing and infrastructure monitoring are linked via the Management Server to achieve safe autonomous driving. The driver can give the vehicle remote instructions to enter or exit the parking lot with a smartphone or tablet via the Management Server.
Surveillance cameras monitor the parking lot
Surveillance cameras monitor empty spaces and pedestrians/other cars with deep learning detection.
Management server links to surveillance Information
Based on information from the monitoring system, the Management Server can issue low-latency braking instructions using wireless communication with traffic priority control, thus can safely stop the vehicle even in dangerous conditions.
High accuracy localization without GPS
Localization system is estimated from the two-dimensional road surface map of the parking lot and the image information from multiple cameras mounted on the vehicle.
Highly accurate vehicle localization is possible even indoors without GPS, allowing parking in narrow spaces with a clearance of 20cm.
For drivers
Reduce significantly stress related to parking(e.g., finding a parking space, walking a long distance from a parking lot, dealing with adverse weather condition)
For parking owner
Effectively utilize land by enabling the use of distant parking lots and small parking spaces.
