Panasonic new TMAX towers: taking party fun to the max

18 February 2019 – Panasonic announces the launch of three new Tower-style mini audio systems, the SC-TMAX50, TMAX40 and TMAX10.

The new TMAX tower models are made for serious fun, they combine the convenience and portability of Panasonic’s vertical-style Urban Audio speakers with the maximum sonic impact found in a three-box system. A highly powerful sound with ultra-heavy bass, front illumination, dual-microphone Karaoke for duets with family and friends and jukebox-style control using Panasonic’s MAX Juke mean these one-box audio systems are equipped to meet all your party needs.

TMAX AND AKX SERIES SMART FEATURES

Full Karaoke for an authentic night out experience

The TMAX Series has two mic jacks so users can plug in two microphones for duets with family and friends. Several features are provided that make singing easier including Vocal Cancel, Key Control, Tempo Control*¹, BGM (background music) Level Control, and Mic EQ. And the Echo function produces great karaoke singing effects.

Panasonic Max Juke App makes ease of use a priority

This easy-to-use smartphone application (connected via Bluetooth) expands the capabilities of the new TMAX systems and makes using them even more enjoyable. Basic operations, adjustment of the illumination and selection of the Karaoke effect are among the many features made easy and fun to control by the using the app. Jukebox Request enables users to request songs in a playlist shared with several friends so that using the system becomes fun for everyone, not just one person.

DJ like a professional

All TMAX models sport a DJ Sampler feature that allows sample sounds such as a scratch, blast and horn to be added to the music as it's played. All models in both series also have Six DJ effects including phaser, sound chopper and electro echo give users masterful control over the music to entertain their listeners with DJ-like club tricks and sounds.

TMAX SERIES SOUND FEATURES

Airquake Bass

Thanks to Airquake Bass, Panasonic’s unique bass reflex port system, the TMAX series boasts some serious low-end slam. By pushing the air vibration generated behind the large-diameter woofer efficiently towards the front of the speaker, the bass sound is amplified substantially without allowing it to leak, consequently delivering taut, powerful body-shaking sound.

Dual Drive System

The TMAX models use a Dual Drive System that produces highly powerful sound from two amplifiers to drive one or two woofers. The TMAX10 and TMAX40 feature a single woofer with Dual Voice Coil and the TMAX50 doubles the number of woofers to two.

TMAX SERIES DESIGN

A light show that generates a club-like atmosphere

The TMAX50 and TMAX40 feature Panasonic’s new Max Dance Illumination lights which are embedded into the edges of the speaker and can produce a sophisticated show of light patterns. A wide array of colours and light patterns sync with the music and reflect the power of the TMAX Series. The TMAX10 features a number of light patterns in the speaker’s edges. Called Blue Edge Illumination, like Max Dance Illumination, it produces a light show that syncs with the music and enhances the party atmosphere regardless of the space being used.

The power of the tower: one-box design comes to the fore

The TMAX series adopt a Tower One-box design that takes advantage of Panasonic’s Exo-Frame Design. Encasing the unit in a robust undulating frame makes it rigid enough to house the powerful TMAX sound. The positioning of the buttons around the left, right and bottom edges of the top panel has been refined with each operation in mind, making the controls simple and intuitive. Portability has also been enhanced by including built-in handles on the edges so that the TMAX models are easy to lift, carry and position.

Power bank compatible

The TMAX10 can be operated using an external power bank (≥2.1A), so users are free to listen to their favourite music just about anywhere without having to worry about finding mains power.
