1937 - First Panasonic Hair Dryer
Panasonic hairdryers all begin in 1937 when we introduced this revolutionary device in an era when hair was simply left to dry naturally.
1960 – Pistol-style Hair Dryer
With the fashion world fueling a greater interest in hair styles, the hair dryer became increasingly common. Efforts were made to improve its design and make it even more usable.
1977 – 1000W Powerful Airflow Hair Dryer
The number of women who visited beauty salons grew, and with that the need for home-use dryers that dried quickly and efficiently, like the hair dryers with powerful airflows used by salons. The era of powerful airflow dryers had begun.
2001 – Hair Dryer with ions
By the year 2000, people wanted more from their hair dryers and we were ready! Panasonic put to work the results of its proprietary research and developed a range of Ionic hair dryers to deliver beneficial ions to hair while drying.
2005 - Hair Dryer with nanoe™
A new category of hair dryer was born in 2005, when we created our first nanoe™ hairdryer.
Despite selling over 10 million nanoe™ hairdryers, these models had limited distribution throughout the world.
