With an eye on what the world will look like 100 years from now, based on the lifestyles of each and every resident, Panasonic will collaborate with partner companies and local governments to bring about a better lifestyle that is eco-friendly and smart.

Panasonic addresses various social issues such as aging population and low birthrate by providing carefully-selected features such as simple operations and easy-to-understand displays.

Panasonic has developed Japan's first IDA (International Dark Sky Association) certified light pollution prevention LED security lights and street lights. Example of installation in Bisei Town, Ibara City, Okayama Prefecture in order to "protect the starry sky“.

By zoning the environment in terms of Air, Light, and Sound, Panasonic provides comfortable space solutions such as Focus Zone, Natural Zone, and Relax Zone, which employees can choose according to their operations and preference.

Contributions to customers and society

2. Responsible business conduct

We will fulfill our corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the process of creating value and supporting business activities.

As a responsibility of a manufacturer that uses large amounts of resources, Panasonic promotes initiatives to reduce resources used, recycle products, and increase the use of recycled resources, aiming to contribute to the sustainable use of resources.

Panasonic business partners around the world apply ideas that can create added value via "CO2 reduction", "minimization of resources used", "utilization of recycled resources", etc. and excellent initiatives are awarded.

Panasonic provides sustainably produced seafood in its corporate cafeteria to protect marine resources that are in danger of depletion due to population growth and overfishing. This activity provides employees with opportunities to think about social issues and widens the circle of changing consumer behavior.

Panasonic assists the strengthening of the foundation base of NPOs and NGOs working on the elimination of poverty" in order to help them carry out sustainable and growing activities for making social changes."

Panasonic has implemented a global education support program that aims to stimulate children's creativity, build communication skills, and encourage teamwork through video production at the primary and secondary school levels.
