Panasonic’s Unique DFD Technology
For ultra fast motion detection & focus
The LUMIX G uses an innovative motion tracking AF to precisely capture unpredictable fast-moving subjects as stills or video. The moving-object tracking algorithms have been designed to take advantage of several technologies - spatial recognition (constantly monitoring distance to subject for best focus), motion vector prediction, and combined Contrast AF* with DFD (Depth From Defocus). With these combined, LUMIX G achieves ultrafast autofocus.
