On Location in Malacca, Malaysia.
STORY BEHIND
“I’m Herbie Yamaguchi, a photographer based in Japan, shooting with the GX8 on location here in Malacca, Malaysia. I take life-affirming photos, and I hope that viewers feel at least a little of that positivity. When you point the lens, you’ve only got an instant to get the shot. The GX8 respond to all my intention to capture the fleeting photo opportunity with it quick response and high image quality.”

GX8 HANDS-ON IMPRESSION
“This GX8 feels good in my hands. Its weight and operability give it a nimble feel.
The picture quality is very good with excellent clarity. 4K burst shooting gives me 4K quality at 30 fps. It lets me shoot more frames than humanly possible, helping me to get the shot and capture the moment.”
“The handiest thing is the LUMIX G VARIO 14-140mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S. (H-FS14140). With plenty of wide angle, it also reaches to 140 mm. If I can’t get the shot I want, the lens lets me draw the subject near. That’s a huge advantage.
There’s also a high-speed LUMIX G X VARIO 12-35mm / F2.8 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S. (H-HS12035) that’s built really tough. In fading light, the wide F-stop is very helpful. It’s an exceptionally well-built lens.
The LEICA DG NOCTICRON 42.5mm / F1.2 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S. (H-NS043) is amazingly high speed. It’s wonderfully expressive with exceptional resolution. You can shoot, handheld, even in low light. It’s another very attractive lens.”
