Optimises the sound to the various placements
The HC410/412 is the first of the HC Series to feature Space Tune™, a function that adjusts the frequency to match the various placements.
This function offers presets that are optimised to three locations — Near the Wall, On the Wall, and Near the Corner.
Space Tune™ optimises the sound quality at the unit location
The sound emitted from the speakers is greatly affected by the location and environment in which the unit is placed.
Music sounds the way it was intended when the unit is placed at an appropriate distance from a wall, but if space issues require the unit to be placed near a wall, mounted on a wall or set in a corner, the sound bounces off the wall, which increases the sound pressure and disrupts frequency characteristics to the point that music no longer sounds as intended.
The Space Tune™ feature newly incorporated in the HC410/412 comes with 3 presets —
Near the Wall, On the Wall and Near the Corner — that adjust the frequency characteristics to the placement in which the unit is located, so that music sounds the way it was intended.

according to where the unit is placed.
Adjusts frequency characteristics in the mid-to-high range in order to counter disruptions caused by sounds reverberating off the back wall and countertop on which the unit is placed, and properly balances the mid-to-high range with the low range. As a result, vocals are clearer and expand farther.
Adjusts mostly frequency characteristics in the high range in order to compensate for muffling in mid-to-high pitches due to the thickness of the unit and sounds reverberating off the back wall. Sounds are clearer and expand farther.
Adjusts frequency characteristics in the low range in order to compensate for muffling in low pitches caused by sounds reverberating off the two back walls and countertop where the unit is placed. By eliminating influences in the mid-to-high range, sounds are clearer and expand farther.
Change in sound pressure level by Space Tune™
Space Tune™ mode OFF — Near the wall —
When the unit is located near the wall, the sound pressure is excessively amplified in the mid-to-low range by sounds bouncing off the wall.
Mid-to-high pitches come out muffled and unclear because of disruptions in the frequency characteristics in the mid-to-high range caused by sounds bouncing off the wall.
Space Tune™ mode ON — Near the wall —
Compensates for the excessive rise in sound pressure in the mid-to-low range caused by the speaker’s proximity to the wall.
Corrects disruptions in the frequency characteristics in the mid-to-high range and balances the sound pressure in the mid-to-low range.
