What are hydroxyl radicals contained in water?
To generate hydroxyl radicals contained in water, invisible moisture is collected from the air and high voltage is applied, creating nano-sized electrostatic atomized water particles. The radicals (highly reactive components) they contain readily act on various substances, inhibiting harmful substances like viruses and bacteria, and they can reduce odour intensity. Generally, hydroxyl radicals bond with other substances readily and don’t survive long. However, it has been verified that hydroxyl radicals contained in water live much longer and spread much farther, so their impact is accordingly greater. Recognizing the value of this technology, Panasonic has independently developed a device that generates hydroxyl radicals contained in water.
