The Vatican - St. Peter's Square, Vatican City

The Vatican frequently hosts large gatherings of people in St. Peter's square during special holidays and speeches. Completed in September 2007, Panasonic installed two 28 x 28m screens and two 13 x 13m screens to replace old units. The four Panasonic large screen LEDs (16mm) enable participants to see the speakers up close even when they are positioned in a remote spot of St. Peter's Square. Each also incorporates a pull-down shutter for added protection. The entire system is connected by an optical fiber network and can be controlled via LAN software locally or remotely. Panasonic provided the entire design solution - design, device supply and installation.
